..the Good "ol Boys Club aka Corporate Cowards at work.

GRIPPO started this conversation

The sworn testimony of the victim of the sexual harrassment case (CHRO#0740337 & EEOC#16A200701378) also illustrated how underhanded some of the officers dealt with distancing themselves from an exemplary employee, who poised a threat to this good 'ol boys club.

Can you imagine working as a gallery manager and suddenly a locksmith appears to change the locks ,and you assume that it's because a disruptive tenent of the upstairs Hygienic Co-op , and when you ask for a copy of the keys...you're told by the locksmith that your employer is changing the locks because of you!

Crap hits the Fan.  The victim calls Hygienic Art's president - Vincent Scarano, who tells this employee " someone" will come in to talk to her shortly.

So, who does Scarano send to do his dirty work - but the newest boardmember - Joe Althouse, brandishing the chopping axe with the lame excuse " Due to financial problems and restructuring"...

Now contrast this with the words of Hygienic's Vice-President Paul Duarte, who thanks this employee with praise "The best face of the Hygienic that they ever had!".

When this poor woman breaks down, Joe Althouse tells her "perhaps" when everything gets straightened out you can reapply." (Of couse he can't look at her in the face when he's saying this!)        How many of us have dealt with these corporate cowards?

Naturally, there was no restructuring, and a email shortly went out requesting applications for the Hygienic Gallery Manager position with the same funding and job description.

The next day this Hygienic ex-employee goes to the gallery to return their BJ card, and guess who she happen to run into on the sidewalk - Bingo! President Vincent Scarano!

He smirks and says to her " You didn't do what I told you to do - you didn't keep your mouth shut" and "I told you not to talk to the board".

... Onto the Labor Dept. ( stay tuned! )
